Ships 3D is a multiplayer sailing ship simulator. The game is played in ‘first person’ where you control the sailor and move around the ship; interacting with the helm, sails and cannons. Sink enemy ships to score points.
If you find the game difficult, join a server where ‘helper bots’ are enabled.
Helper bots:
Helper bots can be configured to steer the ship, set sails and fire cannons. You can still do these tasks yourself. For example, the bot will stop steering if you start steering.
Adding friends to your ship:
You can invite friends to your ship by sharing the unique ‘ship code’ which can be copied from the in-game menu. The ‘ship code’ can be entered on bottom of the server selection screen.
Tips for professionals:
The flags on the ship indicate the direction of the wind. Set the angle of the sail based on the points of sail for maximum speed (see ‘points of sail’ in-game instructions). The sail will stop flapping when it is set correctly. To make the game a bit easier, ships can sail directly into the wind. A close-hauled trim offers maximum speed in this scenario.
